As CEO/ Board President, I am deeply aware of the senseless acts of violence being perpetrated by more and more young people. At a
time when many of their flowers should be blooming, our children's hopes and dreams have sadly withered away. Our children have
either stopped dreaming or no longer know how to dream.
In order for our children to dream, we must ensure that every child gets a nutritional meal to start the day. If our children are to
dream, we must provide parents with adequate parenting skills and support along with meaningful employment. If our children are to
dream, our schools must provide children with a challenging education. If our children are to dream, we must teach them to develop
the necessary coping skills for dealing effectively with peer pressure. If our children are to dream, all facets of the community -
families, schools, communities, and businesses - must together for this means.
