Spring is fun because it’s hot outside and also because I enjoy playing outside.

Spring Is Fun

I am going to tell you about my experience at the 16th

National Youth Crime Prevention Conference and International Forum. I went to two workshops: the YES forum and the influence of rap and hip-hop culture on teens. In both workshops we talked about how certain music encourages kids to do certain things. Examples – the song “Drop Down and Get Your Eagle On “, is persuading a girl to drop down and dance. In my opinion this makes them look a fool. And the girls do it to fit in.  Another example “Get On My Level “, persuades kids to fight because they believe nobody can be on their level, or fight as good as them.

Another thing we talked about was how you can tell if your friend or child is in a gang. I learned that if your friend or child has a red bandanna hanging out of their back pocket, their in a gang. Or if they complain about having blue or red sheets, that’s a sign too. We also learned about drugs and their street names. Marijuana, a brown or greenish color, leafy and flowery. Also called weed, Mary Jane, smoke, and dope. It comes from a hemp plant called “Cannabis Sativa”. Inhalants,

is also called glue, bolt, locker room, and Texas shoe-shine. Inhalants can also cause sudden death. LSD, odorless, colorless, and tasteless, and it is added to absorbent paper. Other names are blotter acid or windowpane. It is produced in illegal laboratories.
